Him at Four

This boy...
... has three sweatshirts that he loves to wear, and god forbid if they are all in the wash.
... wears the red and blue shorts. The dark grey in a bind.... but the light grey oh don't even go there.
... like socks up to his knees. And spend half the day pullling them up.
... is rarely fine or even good. He's nearly always "Great!".
... loves Dinosaurs and Prehistoric park.
... is always building enclosures for the dinosaurs with the blocks.
... is a recent convert to Frozen and sings lustily along with all the songs.
... sleeps with his 'kitty' and sometimes his dog.
... is making progress with his speech... s, k, g, c are still a struggle.
... Act-cha-ly and  Mrs Disa-in (Mrs Dickinson) are my favourite words of his. I'll be sad when he stops saying 'Tenen' (Kieran) too.
... likes porridge with brown sugar for breakfast.
... loves Kindy, and always has something to tell his teacher every morning.
... tells me he'll miss me most days, but is happy to be left.

This boy....
... is funny.
... has great ideas.
... uses amazing language.
... is often gushing with compliments.
... is the first and only kid to call me Mama, I think it's because it rhymes with Tama.
... adores his brothers, and his sisters.
... like stories, reading and going to the library.
... still enjoys his diggers and trucks, but spends less time in the sand pit.
... likes to spend time drawing and cutting, but can more often be found destroying with art materials than creating.
... asks often to play board games and such.
... likes to dance with his top off.
... would happily spend most of his days with none of his clothes.

This boy...
... is best friends with Callum and Conner (even though he's naughty).
... adores Emily and Isla (Callum's little sisters) and will give Emily the undivided attention he never gives Callum.
... is a boyfriend to Indy and Isis. Although I found him the other day holding hands with Grier.
... talks in a baby voice and acts in a baby way often at Kindy- and it drives me crazy.
... is pretty independent and rarely has accidents any more.
... tells the worst jokes. In fact when he says at the dinner table that he has a joke we all know it's time to go.
...  the jokes start ....'What do call it when'..... and go on like so... a digger has a bucket and the boom is so little... and it has crossed the road and it has got it's bucket lost... and it's boom lost... and it found it and put it back on?
... and finish like so.... A bucket boom digger that's lost and fixed again digger that actually works at the dump.
... laughs heartily at his own jokes. (I guess someone has to!)

This boy...
... is very, very loving.
... is not afraid to hit back when wounded. (Will!!)
... loves the trampoline.
... loves the potion table.
... loves his woodwork table.
... prefers to be outside.
... prefers to have company.
... loves to go and ride his bike.
... knows a lot of birds.
... stays up later than Will every night.
... still wears a nappy at night.
... rarely spends a whole night in his own bed.
... is lucky we have a king size.

... can still be shy, and anxious and worried.
... but warms to people pretty fast.
... would love to have a pet dog and cat.
... is getting pretty good at Maths.
... can write his own name.
... and draws people.
... likes to cook and help in the kitchen.
... is great with imaginative play.
... sure knows how to make a mess.
... is learning to clean them up.
... still loves to eat fruit.
.. eats like a sparrow at breakfast and dinner.
... and like a king for lunch.
... spends more time cutting his food than eating it at dinner time.

This boy...
