Because....
A principal was awesome and a boy said that he admired her and a guy published his photo and words. And then he got to go on the Ellen Show, and raise over a million US dollars for his school and class mates and he and the principal got some awesome encouragement in person from none other than the president of the United States.
A man noticed another man walking to work every day and decided instead to give him a ride. When he found out he had been walking 21 miles each day to work and had never missed a day since his car broke down 10 YEARS earlier he called the papers. A stranger started a fund in the hopes of raising a bit of money for 2nd hand runabout. Instead they raised over $60,000. Not that it mattered because the dealership gave him a brand new Ford Taurus.
And then there was the guy whose wife said if you want to keep our new baby (with Down Syndrome) then this is all over. And the man said he's perfect and there's no question I am keeping him. And then friends and strangers raised over $450,000 so he could take him home to New Zealand and spend at least the first year of his life raising him full time and helping to set him up with a super positive future. And also donating some funds to Orphanages in his birth country of Armenia- to care for other less fortunate babies.
And Adnan Syed was granted the right to appeal.
And hundreds of firemen came from all over Australia to help. And 100's of people said thank-you to them before they'd even had a chance to life a hose. Because we realise the value of a man or woman who is willing to put them-self at risk to help others.
And on a lighter note- Tama went to Kindy twice and I had 2 hours to myself each time.
Merenia went for a sleepover.
The kids went back to school.
Will likes his new teacher.
The neighbours felt comfortable to ask me to help out with their kids.
We had the most spectacular displays by nature and rain.
I spoke with my big little sister for over an hour and a half.
My car broke at exactly the right moment. I made a wise decision to walk to school.
Les fixed my car with minimal expense.
I hit 10,000 steps on five out of the last seven days.
I have completed 7/7 LOAD Challenges and uploaded them on time.
The Hockey season has started again.

had a good day son" is the
punchline of a joke my dad used to tell about a father, his son, a bear
won in a side show at a carnival and a Mini Car... it's a great joke and
the one liner punchline has stayed with us for a very long time. This
weekly post is about being grateful for the little and big things in our
lives and celebrating success the grand and everyday kind.
