Tiny tales from week 8

Lots of water this week. Tama and I are enjoying heading off to the pools while Will is at school.

Tama used his crane to help me build this awesome Lego Mall of Lesmurdie.

Awesome, right?!

Unfortunately it didn't meet the strict Shire building codes and had to be demloished.

Everything he builds has some sort of Minecraft connotation. I'm pretty sure Mob-spawners are against Shire rules as well.

Tama said he didn't like this "iPad". But I thought he had a pretty cool time at the splash pad up in Ellenbrook. And I scored a few bargains as another Perth Scrapbook store bit the dust- the 4th since I arrived. :-(

Will and I had a big Lego building session on a Friday night and he stayed up late. I need to write a blog post about our new Lego set-up which is totally awesome. And absolutely useless for six year olds and ends up looking like the old set-up we had (on the bedroom floor!) in record time.

This is the last section of lawn to go in. We still have the old grass by the Palm Trees but it's thriving and a dirt patch by the gate- but I'm going to use that as a muddy play area for Tama and we have some crates (like the one in the bottom right corner below) that we are going to make little gardens in. No vegetable garden for us here, too hard to set up in this arid sandy stony yard, and too much time and water to care for it.

Awesome! Will taught Tama the art of the nose pick photo!

Lovely luscious buffalo lawn!

So exciting! Take a photo mum! It's his first wobbly tooth.

More water play- we can only really get outside at from 9-10am and  then 3:30-5pm because the weather is still mid to high 30's each day and after dinner it's into the night routine. We tend to make the most of it when we do though.

Meet Tora! We have a guy who comes when there is a problem with the septic tank and also sometimes when there isn't. This week he brought his super lovely Australian Cattle dog, Tora. The little boys loved here and were absolutely delighted when instead of just having a drink in the water table she hopped in for a soak. And then even better she jumped out and had a shake. Tama just loved her completely.

Will had a half day for Parent Interviews so we took advantage of the spare afternoon to head from school straight to the pools. Where a lady bird was found. :-)

Will demonstrated his awesome water skills. Impressive right?

And Tama just chilled.
